Cali is a 5-6 year old female cat that staggered her way to a home in Hillsboro for help when she was lost, starving and sick.  After searching for the owner with no luck, the Good Samaritan that found her took Cali to her vet as she was near exhaustion from exposure and lack of food.  It was discovered that she has a treatable dental/medical condition that makes it extremely painful to chew and eat.  Cat's Cradle Rescue was approached to help this friendly, outgoing cat when other rescues and shelters were unable or unwilling to help.

WHO is Cali:

Cali is a Dilute Tortoiseshell adult cat.   During her initial examination for dehydration, malnutrition and exhaustion it was discovered that she needs expensive dental care to survive pain-free long-term.  Cali has proven to be friendly with dogs and children.  She has not been tried with other cats but her "get along" gentle nature makes us think there will be no problem.  She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  She is spayed and will be microchipped and vaccinated as appropriate.

WHAT are we hoping to do:

Cat's Cradle Rescue needs to raise $580 for her discounted dental procedure.  Cali has Feline Chronic lymphocytic plasmacytic stomatitis/gingivitis (FGS)

HOW you can help:

Cat's Cradle Rescue is a 501(c)(3) no-kill non-profit foster-home based rescue group located primarily in Washington County, OR.  As a rescue we rely on cash donations and in-kind food and products given to CCR by people like yourself.  Every donation no matter how small will add up to the $580 that we are hoping to raise for Cali's procedure.   Donating via PayPal (see the button below) is safe and secure.  Please indicate The Cali Fund as a donation description.
