Chip and Dale are litter mates and have been together for 5 years. They are indoor only cats who have never been allowed outside. They are gentle, affectionate and devoted to each other and their family. They've lived with dogs in the past and had no difficulties at all. They are hunters. Although they've been indoors all their lives, they have successfully given their families gifts of lizard(s) and mice when the aforementioned critters got to close to the screen doors and/or decided to venture indoors. Their family was forced to leave their home in Show Low, Arizona due to the wildfire that has burned over 50,000 acres and is only 70% contained to date. Chip and Dale were adopted by their family as ill kittens from the Orange County Humane Society in Southern California and nursed back to health. The family is unable to keep the cats because they are temporarily living with their daughter, who has graciously taken in her family, but unfortunately her rental place does not accept pets.
Both Chip and Dale have been neutered and microchipped. Chip is a long haired, silver, white, and black stripped tabby male. I personally and affectionately call him Fatsoburger. He is the larger of the two but he is the most laid back and affectionate. His favorite thing to do, other than eat of course, is to be scooped up by our teenage son, just like a baby, so that he can be cuddled and rubbed under his chin. That really gets his motor running.
Dale is the darker of the two. He is also long haired, black, brown and white stripped tabby cat. He is more energetic and loves to jump in boxes/bags, chase lights, flies, and other critters. Dale has a lot to say. He voices his opinion about everything and will usually try to get in the last word. He loves to interact with us but prefers head butts and quick rubs/pets over being picked up and cuddled.
Please consider Chip and Dale when looking to adopt. They have been through so much the past two weeks and deserve a loving, attentive home and good food to continue their healthy lives. They are gentle, playful and willing to please. Vet care including shots will be completed and the will come with records and a clean bill of health.
