Joseph is an approximately 5-6 year old domestic medium haired boy who is current on all his vaccines and microchipped. He is FeLV/FIV Negative and has spent a majority of his life living outside. Joseph was found in Tigard and for the past year had been living in the backyard of a very nice lady who would place food on her back porch for him. Life on the streets of Tigard was tough and Joseph recently injured his tail which resulted in it having to be surgically amputated. We have been fostering Joseph after his surgery for the past two weeks and he has healed beautifully, now he is ready to go to his forever home. While we had hoped that Joseph would be able to return to live in the nice lady's backyard, circumstances changed for her and that is no longer an option. We would love to keep him but we are at our maximum number of fur babies in our apartment. It has taken a while for Joseph to build complete trust with us, but he continues to grow more loving, and likes to have his fur brushed, (he will let you know when he's had enough though!). He's a big talker and enjoys hearing about your day. The ideal setup for Joseph would be a home where he would have lots of room to roam. He would do fine in an indoor/outdoor situation as long as he was brought safely indoors at night. We have been slowly letting him interact with our other animals and he has never shown any signs of aggression and has touched noses with almost all of our animals at some point. He will do best in a home without young children
