Sadly I am looking for a new home for my two Toots (male) and Bloomie (female) bonded cats. They are brother and sister and best friends, and they really need to stay together. They're about 5.5 years old, in excellent health, and spayed/neutered. I will also ensure they get a health check and all their shots are up to date before passing them on to a new home. I can provide all kinds of kitty toys, two litter boxes, two carriers, etc. My fiancé and his dog recently moved in and unfortunately, after much effort with our trainer, the kitties are just not safe and comfortable in a living situation with the dog.
Bloomie is the female mostly white with black and some calico coloring. She's definitely more forward/friendly with humans and will jump right on your lap for pets, but she's more sensitive (takes longer to recover from a fright ) and can have more saucy attitude than her brother Toots when taken to the vet or is over-stimulated.
Toots is the very handsome male, all black and white. He's more reserved at first, but is absolutely sweet and docile once you get to know him. He is the more adventurous cat outside but neither are hunters in terms of delivering prey to my door (thank god).
Both Toots and Bloomie are indoor/outdoor cats and have been used to the run of the indoors and outdoors at my place in peaceful inner North Portland. Prior to this dog situation, they lived peacefully with my best friend's dog for about a year--so I really think that's more dependent on the dog's inclination to chase or co-exist. They are not OK with small children who don't know about giving cats their space, but they're fine with supervised children otherwise. These cats have been loving companions to me and I'm heartbroken over this intractable situation, but I'm hopeful they will be great companions to new owners and have a happier, more stress-free life than I'm able to provide for them at this point.
