Great Cats for Great Homes

  I run a small cat rescue in Albany called “Left Behind” I take in kitties left behind when their owners move. This sweet senior kitty was left behind at an apartment complex in Albany. I don’t know if her owner died or moved to a nursing home maybe. Two young girls notified me, they felt so sorry for her as she is the friendliest most loving kitty ever and very old. Her hips are quite arthritic. She most certainly would not have survived the winter. I took her to the vet and she is fixed. No microchip ( and we did ask at every apartment). Vet says she is in good health and gave her a flea treatment, dewormer and booster shots. She is quite old and has arthritic hips so needs a stepping stool to get on the bed for example. Pumpkin is the MOST friendly loving cat I have ever met. She is a true lap cat. All she wants to do is be with someone. She kneads and purrs continually when she is with you. She uses the litter box just fine. No problems there. Pumpkin is afraid of other cats. I think this is because she cannot move fast due to her arthritis. I have 14 other cats in the rescue so she would just love to be someone’s only cat. It is just me here so all these pictures are of her trying to live on me while I take her picture!
