Roxy is waiting for you! During the Santiam/Beachie Creek Fires, Roxy was a new Momma cat with 4 kittens. Then the Oregon fires came raging through in September. We were able to rescue her and her 4 kittens through the choking smoke and falling ash. Roxy has a darling personality but is still waiting for her forever home as she is FIV+. A note about FIV+ Cats. What does it mean? It means she needs to be an indoor only cat and either an only cat or in a home with other cats that are FIV+. The only way to spread FIV is through a deep penetrating bite and it is difficult to transmit. FIV+ cats can live a long, normal, healthy life with terrific humans who know that if she gets a cold, she needs to be seen by a Vet and kept warm and hydrated (just like a human child who gets a cold). She doesn't need any other special care. Just love, food, water and a home. Roxy knows circus cat tricks! She stands up on her back legs and lifts her whole body up and twirls to get pets. She loves the face-to-face head butting with her human and getting face kisses. She also loves being held and snuggled, while the back of her neck is scratched. When she is done being loved on, she likes to be put down to go find her favorite window sill to sit in and look out on the world. Ideal adopters would be a Couple or single person. Roxy has pristine litter box habits, and has been on the best high quality wet and dry food and has had everything already done for her.
