Great Cats for Great Homes

 S weet William has had many names (Bill, Theo, Billbo, Buttercup) so you can pick any name you wish and he will be ok with that. He has been adopted and returned twice. The first time because he did not want to sleep in the bed with the Adopter right away, and the second time because he was too much of a kitten. That's right, this 9 1/2 year old boy has the energy and curiosity of a kitten! Sweet William loves other cats and loves to play hard. He will rush at the other cat out of wanting to play, but that can come off as aggression and scare a timid or old cat. He is very submissive otherwise. Sweet William would be ideal for a single person or couple, with time to play with him (he will tire you out playing "Roll the ball", "Catch the feather" and "Toss to mouse"). He would also do well in a home with younger playful cats that are friendly to him. Loud, new noises scare him, so babies and young children are not a good idea. He needs to be 100% indoor only. Sweet William has been through the wars before rescue. He was torn up from defending his momma cats and litters of kittens at a cat colony. We were sure he would loose one eye. But with Veterinary care and lots of love, his vision is good, and his only remaining damage is he is deaf in one ear from a ruptured eardrum, his eye gets red sometimes (he comes with eye drops) and he has a non-neurological head tilt when he gets stressed out. We did blood work on him to make sure there were no underlying issues and his blood work looks great! He thinks he has another 9 years left in him to love, and be loved. Sweet William's routine now is to sleep most of the day, then at about 8PM, he comes to lay on my lap and get lots of love while I binge watch Netflix. He is most playful/active late at night, in the middle of the night and in the early AM. He knows simple commands like "Go to bed", "No", and "Get off the counter". He will follow you as you walk through the house. He also comes when called, just like a dog. Sweet William is an all around great cat and we just love him. He is one of those that a rescue would consider keeping, but there are so many more cats that need rescue out there. Do you have an ideal home for this very deserving man? Please let us know. He is neutered, has had all shots, dewormed, defleaed, FIV/FELV negative, baseline blood work is done, he has had a bath, nail trim, a dental and he has been micro-chipped. He comes with his bed, food/water bowls (no plastic for him as he gets chin acne), food, eye drops and toys. He uses the litter box perfectly and has no destructive behaviors. He comes from a 100% Non-Smoker and scent-free foster home.
