Tuxedo Max’s story is heartbreaking. Please bear with me, as I share this heroic cat’s journey. Maxie was adopted as a kitten and loved for many years. His owner died and he ended up at a shelter and was re-adopted, only to be abandoned a few months later to the streets where Maxie survived in the freezing wet cold, for 7 months. Then, Maxie was attacked and nearly killed by two raccoons. Some kind people found Maxie, whose injuries were horrific, but with immediate Veterinary care and weeks of kennel rest and love, this sweet boy is now ready to have the indoor-only home he deserves with people who will love him for the rest of his life. Tuxedo Max is good with other cats, people, kind children, probably ok with nice dogs and is an all-around sweet, talkative, boy who gives kisses when he knows he is safe. He has some PTSD from the attack, so give him time to settle in. Maxie’s fur will grow back and he has no residual physical issues of any kind from the raccoon attack. Maxie is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered (does not spray and uses litter box perfectly), has been dewormed, defleaed, nail trimmed and micro-chipped.
