Hello! My full name is General Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard, and I have a fancy mustache just like the Civil War general.  I love hearing my name - you can call me “Pierre” or “General Beauregard,” and I’ll come running to see if you have a treat for me.  I enjoy all kinds of treats, but my favorite is Greek yogurt.  I’ll do anything for yogurt, even swallow pills!

I love to fetch treats, chase yarn, play hide-and-seek and tag with my favorite person.  People are my favorite, but dogs are pretty fun, too.  I had scary experiences with stray cats coming into my house to fight me, which makes me write peemail messages.  It takes me a while to warm up to other cats, but I like being buddies if I know they’re friendly.

Kids are fun!  I enjoy playing with elementary kids and older, especially when they brush me and give me things to chase.  I have overstimulation sometimes which makes me bite people if I feel overwhelmed, so I need to be around kids who are old enough to understand my body language.  I love to snuggle and have lots of energy to play.

I have anxiety because of my shelter time as a kitten.  My vet said that my next family might want to try giving me Prozac to see if it helps me feel calmer.  I am litterbox trained but I prefer to go outside because of my fear of being trapped and contained.  If Prozac helps, the vet said it would be safer for me to be an inside only cat at my new home.  I have one cracked canine tooth but so far it hasn’t caused me any issues.

My current family adopted me from a shelter as a kitten six years ago, and we’ve had a great time together, but they just brought home a BABY.  Babies are scary!  I don’t like being around babies who cry, crawl, and can’t even pet me properly yet.  I’m looking for a forever home with no babies!

Could it be with you?
