Great Cats for Great Homes

  This social butterfly named Athena was found as a stray about 7 mths ago in Salem, Oregon and the caregiver started feeding her because she was so thin. She ended up preggo and had her babies 9 weeks ago and done being a moma permanently. Unfortunately, her caretaker can't keep her because it is against her recovery home rules and could lose her housing. This cat loves everyone, but loves adult humans the most. She loves to play but is independent and needs her alone time respected, too. She can be held for short periods if time and loves to be petted but on her head and neck mostly. She can be a bed hog, if allowed. She has a high tolerance of young kids and dogs as long as they are supervised. The neighborhood kids pet her and carry her around without incident. She plays with the neighbors male cat, too. And she is a morning cat used to a household that wakes up at 5:30 am. She is happy sitting in front of a picture window to watch the world go by, especially birds. But having any outdoor large catio to enjoy the outside especially come Spring would be ideal. She is ready for adoption to a good loving and caring home. Adoption fee is $135 which includes spay, vaccines (FVRCP and Rabies, 1 yr), tested for FelV (Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and negative for both, flea treated, dewormed and microchipped.
