Rugido: Rugido came into my life in 2016 when he was just two months old, which means whoever adopts him will get plenty of kitten pictures! He's now 5.5 years old and weighs about 16 lbs. It breaks my heart to rehome him and his sister, Sofrito. Rugido has been through several moves with me and has proven to be surprisingly adaptable! He was an indoor/outdoor cat for 3 years and is now loving his exclusively indoors life, but would do well in either set-up. He doesn't try to escape, has no issues with litter box use, and he isn't destructive. He does not have any medical or behavioral issues and he seems to tolerate dogs and kids. He is very clean, snuggly, quiet, and loving, especially to his sister. He's wonderful. Things Rugido LOVES: -laying on his human's chest and getting pets -eggs (scrambled, boiled, he likes them all!) -his sister, Sofrito -strings and hair ties to play with -naps, especially on fresh bedding -cardboard boxes (for napping or playing) -sleeping belly-up -food and treats (he's a food-motivated kitty!) -pets, chin/head scratches, and more pets Things Rugido tolerates: -dogs -being brushed

Sofrito: Sofrito was a stray who appeared at my door as a kitten in September of 2017 and never left (yes, I have kitten pictures to share!). She's now 4.5 years old and weighs 10lbs. It breaks my heart to rehome her and her brother, Rugido. Sofrito has also been through several moves with me and has always adapted very well. She was an indoor/outdoor cat for 2 years and is now exclusively indoors (and loving it), but would do well in either set-up. Like her brother, she doesn't try to escape, has no issues with litter box use, doesn't have any medical or behavioral issues, and seems to tolerate dogs and kids. Her unknown traumatic past means she doesn't trust humans easily, but that makes gaining her trust even more rewarding. While she can be fearful, she is also incredibly docile and doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. She is very sweet, quiet, playful, soft, and obsessed with her brother. Sofrito makes every pet a million times more wonderful. Things Sofrito LOVES: -#1 is her brother, Rugido -playing, especially with hair ties, small balls, strings, and toy mice -naps (even happier when she gets to nap with Rugido) -soft, cozy blankets for naps -being brushed -pets, which is a sign she trusts and loves you Things Sofrito tolerates: -dogs.  These are indoor only and will be adopted as a bonded pair only.  Rehoming fee $100

NOTE FROM THE OWNER: My mother-in-law has to move-in with us for long-term care due to worsening health conditions and she is unfortunately very allergic to cats. We are low-income, living in a small space and unable to separate the cats from her. We are heartbroken to have to rehome our kitties, but we have exhausted all other options.
