If you are looking for a cuddle buddy who will purr your ear off, look no further- Mac & Cheese is the sweet boy for you. Originally a stray, Mac has had a very rough life including a past broken tail, getting FIV, and needing all of his molars removed as a complication of the FIV. That doesn’t stop his voracious hunger though, he will be your best friend the moment you give him food. Mac is always excited to play and loves to run through tubes and chase laser pointers.

Mac recently had signs of a chronic allergic reaction, so he needs to be fed royal canin hydrolyzed protein kibble to prevent this. Luckily, he loves the food and missing his teeth doesn’t even slow him down. While it can take Mac a little while to warm up to new people, especially in unfamiliar environments, he becomes very attached to the people that he loves. He chooses to sleep on my dirty laundry over his bed every time because it smells like me. He asks to be picked up and held for long moments just to be close. He is truly a sweetheart.

Mac hasn’t been around any dogs or small children that I’m aware of, but with the right introduction Mac seems like he could get along well with either. With other cats Mac is ambivalent about their presence, but he needs an FIV friendly household (See https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/ for more info). After roughing it for so long, Mac is ready to enjoy a pampered, indoor life with someone who can match him for all the love he gives and will play with him like the kitten days he didn’t get to experience.
