Mikey is a total lovebug! He is friendly to adults and children, loves attention, play time, and just sitting near you as you type on your laptop or read a book. His unusual amber eyes glow with curiosity and intelligence, and he sports a sleek, short, dappled-gray coat with a long-haired black tail for a dash of glamor. He weighs a healthy 8.5 lb. As a former stray, he can take care of himself and is currently spending most of his days outside with a cuddle break at lunchtime, then he’s in by 6:30 pm. He sleeps quietly on his own in a spare bedroom, and greets me with affectionate meows at breakfast. I have found him to be both adaptable and trainable. Of course he is litter box trained.

Mikey’s vet said that he is remarkably friendly and a good boy even when getting his shots. I have napped with him, and he would love to sleep next to his human full time.

So, why is such a perfect boy on the market? When he showed up as a stray, he was frightened and unneutered, and I wasn’t able to follow proper cat-introduction recommendations. My two cats have been holding a grudge against Mikey, who deserves a home where the whole family cherishes him. Mikey’s vet says he could fit in with other cats, it just depends on the situation. Since he is super confident and can take care of himself, I think he could be good with a dog. My 8 year old child adores him, and he adores her, but I keep an eye on them when they are playing. Like all animals, he needs to be treated with respect.  

Mikey comes with toys, some food and treats, his blankie, Feliway cat pheromone spray (to help him settle into his new home), litterbox, litter Genie disposal bin and scoop (all purchased new for him). He’s microchipped, neutered, and vaccinated, and in good health. Adoption Fee: $40
