Zeus (Zu-Zu) is a purr-fect sweetheart of a cat! He's a big boy (approx. 18 lbs), yet very gentle. He loves to play, and especially likes chasing foil balls and laser dots, pouncing on feather wands, and attacking catnip-filled toys. Oh yes, he knows how to have a good time! Zu-Zu also love-love-loves snuggling, and being petted and combed; he will even readily flop over for belly rubs. He is also more than happy to join you on your bed-- but he won't smother your face; he's shy about having your face close to his. Zu-Zu has always been indoors-only, happy to view the world from a window. His litterbox habits are A+, he's great at using scratching posts, and he is not one to jump on counters or other inappropriate surfaces. Due to a urinary tract infection when he was a kitten, he has been on a veterinarian-prescribed dry food diet. He has had no other medical issues since then. Zu-Zu was adopted locally as a kitten by a friend of mine, and he was very bonded to her. She recently got married and brought him into a new home that had another kitty, and then a puppy. Zeus did well with his new feline friend and tolerated the puppy. He also adjusted well when the couple's teenagers visited. Then, sadly, the couple had a sudden death in their family and they felt they needed to return to the East coast to support the surviving family members. My friend knew that sweet Zeus would not be able to handle the stress of this major move. He becomes over-anxious with traveling and other big changes, and has not previously responded well to sedatives. She made the hard choice to rehome him, and I volunteered to foster him to help him adjust to his new situation. Zeus came to my home in late August, and he's become relaxed and happy here-- a real joy. I am slowly working with him to help him overcome his high anxiety around his carrier so that I can take him to a vet for a wellness check-up and vaccines. He will stay with me until we find him his new furever home. Might that be yours?
