IF YOU ARE LONELY AND WANT A VERY SWEET, CUDDLING LAP CAT, PRETTY BABY MIGHT BE FOR YOU! I rescued Pretty Baby one night in February 2022 from a neighbors shed. The neighbor thought she was my missing kitty. It was 23° and was going to get down to the teens. I got her in a carrier and brought her home until I could locate the owner. Never did. She had been severely abused. Fur had been burned off the top of her head and ears and was covered in burn blisters. She looked drugged and someone had cut off back foot toes. As a result she has kitty PTSD. She is terrified of most other cats (except my senior cat and kittens) so for most of the entire time I've had her she was content to live in my bedroom and never explore outside of it. But recently, it's just been too hot to leave my door closed especially with her in it.

A couple weeks ago, she decided to come out and sit on a bench in the entryway which is when and why the bullying started from one of my males. I tried a calming collar on the bully, Bach's Rescue Remedy and got Feliway plug ins but he just won't leave her alone. He gets a time out in the other bedroom every time he does it, but again, it is too hot to leave doors closed even with a fan so he doesn't stay in there longer than 1-3 hours. The bullying has become so bad she is too terrified to come out of the window during the day.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS NEEDED: NO KIDS NO OTHER CATS (1 non confrontational senior cat or kitten under a year would likely be doable if introduced the Jackson Galaxy way) NO DOGS QUIET HOME INSIDE ONLY (unless you have a safe catio) NO DRY KIBBLE!!! YOU MUST BE A VERY PATIENT, LOVING, ATTENTIVE PERSON WHO UNDERSTANDS HER FEARS AND PTSD BEHAVIOR AND ALSO MINE, WILLING TO ALLOW ME TO SEE HER A FEW TIMES A MONTH AT LEAST AT FIRST BECAUSE I LOVE HER AND THIS IS VERY HARD FOR ME!

I never intended to keep her in the first place and have been trying to find her a home that meets her needs. I had a very traumatic year last year of many losses which caused me tremendous depression to the point I rarely left my bedroom. Since she is terrified of other cats, it was just her and I in there for months. So she is the main one who comforted me and she became like my best little friend. But, it makes me more sad that she now lives in terror than it will to let her go to a home where she can relax and go wherever she wants without being scared, where she can eat and sleep peacefully. INDOOR ONLY $75 rehoming fee
