Great Cats for Great Homes

Otter is the sweetest cat you will ever meet! He is an 8-year-old male tabby who has been neutered and is up to date with shots. He has been a wonderful pet, and is a total lap cat, but has really struggled with anxiety since we brought our new daughter home.

He grew up with his litter-mate but as they've gotten older she has become increasingly territorial. As a result of stress from his litter-mate (who is a bit aggressive) and our young daughter's increasing mobility, he has been very stressed and started urinating outside the litter box. The vet has cleared him as healthy and he is currently being boarded in a cat-specific space where he is doing great and exclusively using the litterbox, so we think this behavior was directly caused by our home environment.

We think he would be much happier in a home without children and preferably without other cats (although this could work with the right cat). He has been mostly indoors but loves going outdoors occasionally. We love him and miss him dearly and would love to see him in a home where he can his happy, snuggly, relaxed self!  Rehoming fee for Otter is $50 and his best life will be indoors only.
