Great Cats for Great Homes

Missy is an affectionate healthy older cat who finds herself in need of a new loving home. Green eyed and beautiful, Missy has been the delight of her family, sharing them with one easy-going dog until last year.

At 14 years, she is updated with her shots, teeth checked, nails freshly clipped and got a clean bill of health from the Vet. He said he’s rarely seen an older cat in such good health. She’s either a fluffy Russian Blue or may be a double coated Nebelung, a newer breed that has an unusually affectionate nature.

A very friendly indoor kitty, she’ll keep you company with frequent “talking” and likes nowhere better than your lap. Or if you’re busy, sitting on the back of your chair. Until mid-year last year, she has also been the playful pal of the family’s gentle old dog.  A small cat-friendly dog should be fine with proper introduction.  No cats in the home would be best.  Unlike some cats Missy is not aloof; she’s quite social. When not with you, she’ll like to survey the world through a window or up on her cat tree. 

Missy’s owner is in long-term residential-care, so is unable to keep Missy. But she’s determined that Missy live with someone who can take great care of her, and who really will enjoy returning the affection of this devoted cat. When her owner adopted Missy from a shelter 5 years ago and took her for her exam, the Vet laughed and said he could not hear her heartbeat because her purring was so loud.
She’s been well taken care of.
