Great Cats for Great Homes

We adopted Walnut and his sister as barn kittens. He’s an excellent hunter and would make a perfect mouser for someone who wants a cat that can patrol a yard or barn. He’s affectionate with people and gets along really well with most other adult cats in the household — in fact, he’s fine with our three other cats. Unfortunately he’s started picking on his littermate (female) and has been cornering her; we’ve had him checked by a vet for pain or illness and the exams and tests came back clear. Because of this, we think he’d do best in a home where he’s not living with his littermate.

Ideal home:
— Someone who can offer indoor/outdoor access or a safe outdoor space (porch, barn, shed)
— A home where he would be the primary cat or with calm, confident cats (he gets along with some cats but not his littermate)
— Someone who wants a skilled mouser — great for barns, small farms, or homeowners with rodent concerns

What we’ll provide:
— Recent vet exam records and any medical history
— Food and favorite toys to help him transition
— Meeting in-person - His owners live in Portland.  Walnut's adoption fee is $25.
