Hi! My name is Nikko, which means “sunshine” in Japanese — and it fits me perfectly, because I bring warmth and comfort to the people I love. I’m a sweet, mellow guy looking for a calm forever home where I can simply enjoy being near my humans.

I’m also a polydactyl prince, which means I have adorable extra toes! I’m a mostly quiet companion, but if I get excited you might hear my little chirps. I love spending my days lounging by the window, watching the world go by. Don’t worry — I have zero interest in going outside and never try to bolt. Indoor life is the life for me!

Some of my favorite things: 

• Head and neck rubs (you’ll hear lots of purring!) 
• Hanging out nearby even if I’m not a lap cat
• Relaxing on my cat tree — scratching, climbing, and napping on the top perch
• Drinking from the kitchen faucet — my special treat

I’ve never lived with kids or other animals, so a quieter home would be a great match for me.

I’m being rehomed because my owner is terminally ill and can no longer care for me. My family wishes they could keep me, but due to their living situation, they can’t — and they’re hoping to find a loving, stable home where I can continue to shine.

Rehoming fee: $75 Includes my litter box, cat tree, pet carrier, and food — everything you need to help me settle in comfortably.  Indoor only.
