Great Cats for Great Homes

NOTE: These cats are offered as a bonded pair.  They are beautiful and loved and have always only know each other's company.

I currently have two cats; a twelve year old medium haired grey male tabby, and a ten year old long hair female calico.  I often describe Samuel (the tabby) as my “dog cat”.  He is so incredibly loyal; he’ll follow me around the house, sleep outside my bedroom door, and kiss my face for affection! He is emotionally sensitive and gets his feelings hurt if I go out of town for a night or if I’m too busy to pet him while getting ready for work.  I’ve found that when this occurs he has learned a bad habit from his mom (me), emotional eating.  I have discovered that Sammy’s health is best kept if I only bring out the food dish in the morning and evening (otherwise he’s a binge eater). Also like a dog, Sammy is very chill and relaxed.  He loves to cuddle and will often lay on his back to have his belly rubbed and rubbed.  He’s so chill, in fact, that I can trim his nails with no difficulties at all; in fact he usually purrs! (His vet LOVES him). Samuel’s dog-like-qualities don’t end there.  He is immensely social (which is why he's so emotional); he loves to either be perched up high to enjoy all he surveys, or he will simply lay in the middle of any gathering of humans. He’s simply delightful.

My sweet girl Suzanna Franna is also a cuddle bug, but is a little shy at first.  When in a new home, expect her to hide for a week or two until she feels safe. Unfortunately, I think she’s got a little PTSD from an incident she had as a kitten. With me she’s a total sweetie.  She LOVES to be rubbed down, even more than Samuel does! If I was up for it, she’d let me rub her down for hours, although she prefers her back, neck, sides and rump over her tummy.  Franna is my little hedgehog; if I sit her in my lap facing me like a baby, she’ll curl up with her head against my chest as I rub her neck and sides.  If allowed, both Suzanna and Samuel would love to snuggle on the couch or in bed.  Once I became allergic, they lost this privilege and I know it makes them sad.  L

The amazing thing about both my kitties is they are so gentle! I’ve been told by many that I must have a gift in picking out good cats because they literally don’t claw people or furniture.  They love to claw their large climber, which will of course go with them. I just gave Sammy a bath, and he didn’t even think of clawing me, in fact he was amazingly easy. (Of course, if Franna is a bit nervous or feels unsafe, she will hiss, but it’s harmless and pretty funny). Like most cats, mine are no different in that they enjoy a good butt pat.  It’s puts them in a happy place like none other. If they could pat each others’ rumps they would (Suzanna is, after all, Samuel’s girlfriend).

I’m so sad to say goodbye to them, but will part with them more easily if I know they are wanted and loved. Please consider adopting these fabulous felines!
